In traffic today the car ahead of me was moving slower than traffic around her. Other cars were moving into her lane in front of her, and beings "somewhat" competitive, I got a wee bit frustrated.
And then I noticed why she was going so slow. She was applying makeup. SHE WAS APPLYING MAKEUP?
Okay, so I found myself a good and peeved. My first thought was to find an opening and gun the car to get around this obstacle in the traffic stream.
Then a thought occurred to me. Did I really want to be ahead of her? If I was ahead and she was applying eyeliner while driving, would I watch her front end grow in my mirror until a forceful impact,. the result of which would poke her eye out?
In an instant, driving behind her at a distance seemed like a much wiser thing to do.

People like that really bother me. If you don't have time to put the makeup on in the morning then don't wear any or do it at your breaktime or lunchtime at work. Don't be doing it in the car. Ugh. That's just irritating to me. Here's an idea...pull your butt out of bed ten minutes early to get that extra stuff done. Ugh. Grrrr. Following behind is a good idea...the sad thing is I would have pulled ahead of her because I'd be thinking about how stupid she is as opposed to how bad of an idea driving ahead of her would be. Now I will remember that the next time some dingbat is ahead of me and not paying attention.
... make-up, cell phones, digging for a cd, changing lanes without signaling, speeding, rolling through stop signs, not yielding to merging traffic or pedastrians, tailgating, eating Chinese take-out (with chopsticks) while shifting... we all have our driving sins.
